Student Internships

In addition to our paid six-month Oscar Wilde Fellowships, we offer a small number of unpaid internships to third-level students as part of their coursework in college.

This is an opportunity to see what it takes to run an award-winning small museum. Successful applicants dress up, dazzle our guests and learn valuable skills. The role is mainly public-facing. On occasion, successful applicants may also be asked to work on projects connected to their area of academic study.

All interns are invited to complete our Certificate in Museum Studies and to learn a guided tour of the museum collection. Please note that this requires a commitment to learn a tour script verbatim.

We only accept applications from students of drama, museum studies, history and English literature. Each internship is for a minimum of three months.

We are particularly looking for students who have experience of acting, singing, playing a musical instrument and/or debating. If you are happy to perform on stage, you may be a good fit.

Placements typically commence in January, April, July and October. Students are invited to apply at least 3 months before their preferred placement start date.
