Our CEO Sarah Clancy formally welcomed Barry O’Shea of Moston Construction to 15 St Stephen’s Green, to begin work on the construction of a lift, renovations throughout the museum and the development of a new reception and education centre.
No doubt the next few months will present some challenges, but the sun was shining, and Barry said he’s confident that the museum will re-open “on time and under budget.”
In the meantime, visit our pop-up museum at 33 Lower Pembroke Street – all the magic, half the size.
Huge thanks to our patrons for supporting these projects, particularly Fáilte Ireland, the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and Dublin City Council.
Sarah is pictured here with Barry and our board members Councillor Dermot Lacey, James Ryan and Susan McKeon. You may recognise the two messers in the background who photobombed our lovely picture.
